Odd problem - fuel tank shrinking itself?

I've been chasing an odd little noise from the boot area of the car. Been there a while. Just like a click, when you accelerate gently from a stop, or come to a halt. the suspension is nice, new shocks, new spring hats, smooth travel. Seems to come from the tank area of the car, checked everything around the tank, took rear seats out, nothing loose. Checked under car, no exhaust touching, everything tight, all good. This noise come and goes, you cant hear it much if you have music on, but... Odd problem - fuel tank shrinking itself?
