Oil Change - Extra rubber O-ring

Hi all, When performing the oil and filter change a few weeks ago (Mobil1 0W-40 and a dealer fleece filter), I ended up with 1 rubber O-ring extra. It is the exact same size (approx. 1" diameter) as the O-ring that fits on the top of the filter spear tube. I checked the dipstick, thinking it might seal the top of it, but the O-ring is too big for that. PLEASE NOTE: I Mity-vacced the oil. I therefore assume that the O-ring and the copper crush-washer are supposed to be used on the drain... Oil Change - Extra rubber O-ring
