All of a sudden my seat belt light goes on and the gong sounds, the gong goes off and the light stays on. I have moved the passenger seat forward to make sure the seat back is fully locked and the light is still on. I can start the car and the light will be off and then it comes on with the next start. 1992 300sl - I have not seen an occupant sensor on the seat bottoms so this would not be the cause. The windows will roll up and down and I can unlock the roof, with the light still on.
