Unimog 416 gear shifting 2 x 4 gears gearbox reverse only in low range

Hi, My 1975 416 mog has gearbox with 2 * 4 gears forward and 4 for reverse with low range. So there is three sticks for gear selection: stick for the 4 main gears stick for low / high range stick for forward / reverse You can reverse only with low range selected. Is it possible to somehow modify that reverse could be performed also with high range? If so this would leave out the need for engaging low range for example when driving on normal traffic, parking etc when there is no heavy...
