How to remove side mirror housing/ Visor Light

Hi, I just bought a side mirror housing for my 2001 ML55 AMG. I just need to replace the housing an not the entire mirror. Is this possible and if so, do you have the directions? Also, I need to replace the visor. Any instructions on how to remove the vanity mirror light connector? Thanks!
