W203 EIS Issue

Greetings All From Houston, TX: I am the original owner of a 2007 C230 with only 54500 miles. It intermittently fails to crank or stalls, with no codes. I do have dash lights and no issues with locking. Both keys seem to be okay. My wife is afraid to drive her car. I have seen videos where a soldered connector on the switch has broken, causing this problem. Should I have my repair shop physically remove the switch and inspect the switch? With no codes, they don't want to proceed... W203 EIS Issue
