HELP!!

i have a 2004 ml350 special edition, i have had it for 3 years i absolutely love my car. i recently ran into some issues with starting the car with the key i have replaced the electronic ignition switch recently and it was working fine. my starter then needed to be replaced so i replaced that and now i cant get the car to start with the key. i jumped the starter a few times and also noticed that i can not shift the car from drive to park at all. unless i turn the car off. im not sure if the...
