So I have an oil leak at the rear of the engine. There is a rubber grommet with a hole in it on the bottom of the transmission bell housing and the oil is dripping out this hole, so above that is where the leak is. When I noticed the oil leak I suspected it was the oil cooler seals, but noting that the sides of the engine where it mates to the transmission are dry, leads me to believe that it is the rear seal. The engine has 164K and so the rear seal could be worn some? Is it possible...
