Terribly sorry to bug here now but this is the reference to topic I got referred to in regard to the older one button key fobs, but my 97 e320 does not have key cyl/column in doors and trunk does have but is seized/rusted solid so have been looking for more info on fobs.
Pressing button for about 1 second led in ir lens flashes, good after cleaning terminals inside fob for batteries, 2x 2025 3v
holding at just the right angle not at handle, on either front door, does lock/unlock doors...
