Buy W212

Dears, I am W220 owner and I am looking to get new Mercedes car as a lot of search I wish to get W212 car (300 or 350) what do you suggest to get prefacelift or facelift car keep notice facelift one cost more than 5k$ more than, will I got 2012 with look 2014 or not. As I am using W220 will W212 cost more in service and maintenance and what will I check before buy. Another option to get W204 but I have family with 2 children. Thanks in advance.
