Kickdown causing a MAF fault and limp mode

Hi guys, I have the following problem and wonder if anyone could suggest some troubleshooting techiques. Once kickdown is activated after pressing accelerator all the way down, the car is going into a limp mode with EML on the dash.I do have a scaner and have managed to clear this fault a couple of times myself. I have also cleaned the MAF sensor as it was a little dirty. It just makes me wonder at what values I should look on the live data screen and waht they should be lookimg like.Also...
