Took apart the duo valve with rebuilt kit ready ($10 eBay) sent from China, took 3 weeks to get it.
I turned ignition key on, after removing the 5 Torx T10 screws. Saw no evidence of gasket or seal failure,
Valves were unbroken and moved freely.
Coils click when after removing the wiring harness put right next to connection. So coils good.
It would seem it is highly likely that the climate control unit itself is faulty as it does not respond to incremental
heat increase commands...
