U1700 transmission re-assembly

Hi everyone. I've got my gearbox away for a rebuild (eventually I could not get 5th and 6th). When I mate the gearbox back up with the transfer case, I have to first refit the main transfer gear (I think its also called Transfer Case Input Gear) and the two tapered roller bearings on it, into the transfer case. There is provision behind the Transfer Case End Cover to fit shims to pre-load the big bearing. I think the end-flat is 0.06mm +/-.02mm. I have feeler gauges, but an unsure how to...
