Rattling/tapping noise at cold starting

Experts experience! Recently, whenever I start my 05 c240 at cold start, it will be making a tapping/rattling noise but stop after some minutes or fade out. I have been looking for the cause or reason but yet to get it. Anyone that has had such an experience in the past should pls tell me what he did a solution to the problem. Also, if I may ask, could it be the timing chain? Is there anything like hydraulic lifter on my engine and could it be the cause if available? Thanks in advance for...
