Wheel Selection

I want to replace my standard 17" wheels on my 2009, I called a few places and they said their wheel would not fit a c300 sport. I'm an old school guy and understand backspacing but really don't understand offsets and staggers I know the the car has different size tires and rims front to rear . Can someone school me .................. I did find these that I like and it lists they fit ..........thoughts... Wheel Selection
