Gremlin

On my '02 E430 the horn doesn't work. When I push on the horn, it does something else. The central display on the instrument panel cycles through all the different functions as I repeatedly push the horn. Amazing! Any insights on this exquisitely engineered electrical gremlin will be welcome. Thanks in advance.
