So I wanted to get a FGSM for my 87 420SEL, but they are nowhere to be found. It seems that the wiring is really simple for the feature, as my car has a stock kickdown solenoid.
From what I understand, all that needs to happen is 12v signal needs to trigger that kickdown circuit. The issue is that a normal switch won't do as you will have to manually do it every time. The stock FGSM from the older cars upshifted at about 7mph.
Now I was thinking I could make an Arduino board do the same...
