Mercedes SLC 350 1973 tachometer problem

Hi, I just bought my self this car, but it has a problem. The tachometer is not working, and there is a loose cable that I think could be the problem. So my question is, where should it go? The cable is not red, thats paint, it is black and green. I am Swedish, so Its a euro-spec. I would be grateful for any assistance
