M2 Paddle

Hello I'm new on this form and this question may have been asked before. But I have Mercedes 2017 GLE350. I was driving on the interstate and I made a mistake and hit the paddle behind the steering wheel. It immediately switched into M2 mode I was scared I didn't know how to take it off and I'm was trying to drive so I switch the car back into comfort mode and it was good. But while driving a couple hours later while I was just making it to Delaware when I would go for a stop it sounds like... M2 Paddle
