1992 300SL R129 Key will not go into ignition switch?

Hi, all. I had this question at the end of a long pre-existing thread but I thought it might be useful if anyone else has this happen and searches for it, so I am adding the issue in this new thread. I have a 1992 300SL that shut off and coasted to a stop about 6 months ago. It would crank and crank, but not start. So far, I have changed the OVP (twice), had the EZL rebuilt, new coil, plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, and backing insulator for the distributor.
