I have a 1978 280E that has had a Nardi wheel swapped in and I would like to go back to the original wheel. I grabbed one at my local pick n pull, but the spline count I found changed at some point and it doesn't fit. I have a line on one out of a 1980, but want to make sure it fits. The one out of the 80 car has a smooth horn cover and the one that came in the 78 had the ribbed horn center section.
Anyone a steering wheel expert and can tell me if one out of an 80 240D will fit a 78 280E?
