Use Factory Microphone with Aftermarket Radio

I recently installed an aftermarket head unit in my 2005 E320, replacing my OEM COMAND unit. The aftermarket unit comes with an external microphone (plugs into a 2.5mm connector) to make phone calls. I mounted the mic on the side of the dashboard because I could not find a place to conceal the mic and still make it available to use.
