SL500 vs SL320 - request opinions

I have been a long time member of the W126 forums. I have always played around with the idea of buying a R129. Specifically a 96 to 98 SL500 with the M119 engine. Recently, I came across an ad for a SL320. Can you gentlemen provide your opinion on the pros and cons of each. I have not had any experience with the MB 6-cyl engines.
