Poor radio reception after installing android head unit

Hi All I have a 2007 B Class (W245). I've removed my NTG2 headunit and replaced with an XTRONS android unit. Looks good and works fine apart from the FM radio reception is next to non-existent whereas it was absolutely brilliant on the NTG2 head unit. I used the black connector for the FM as I think that is correct and left the mustard and blue disconnected. Do I need to connect anything else at the rear of the head unit to power the cars antenna? Also, can I use the cars's GPS antenna... Poor radio reception after installing android head unit
