I'm using an '83 om617 turbo from a 300D to power a sawmill, I need to govern the speed to about 2750rpm for correct blade speed. I believe the IP has a high speed Governor to keep it from over revving. Most people tend to turn this up for squeaking out more power or revs in performance motors. I am thinking that if I could dial it back to 2750 then I could just mash the throttle and it would hold at 2750 under a varying load. Basically I would have two throttle settings idle and wide open...
