Air Conditioner problems

Hi my Air-conditioned only works when it's cool outside, I'm dying in this heat.I have the setting on low and fast blow, but when I turn it on I can hear a hiss but no air comes out. When it's about 70* out side poof! It works great. Any ideas gentlemen. 2001 s430 Sent from my Z982 using Tapatalk
