Transmission started stumbling, bucking and hard shifting suddenly with no prior symptoms. No check engine light. I bring the car to the MB dealer. They check shift application and it's OK, the data was cleared and the car is back to normal with no issues. But, dealer says my problems will return and want to replace the transmission control unit. Oh yeah and they want $2200. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.
